was sleeping like a dog yesterday and nickt called me early in the morning at 9+...and asked me to go collect money...so i thought just find the guy get our money and we go eat and go home...simple as that...but no...we led the life of a pair of runners instead...
took train down to dhoby and nickt got on the train when my train reached newton...reached dhoby and we went SG Pools for awhile before we went to his friend's house...the place was Peace Mansion...good location...expensive apartment...but the condition sucks...tried to go thru underground so no need to go thru security...but no way down there...all blocked and the conditions were like some typical scenes from the resident evil game...rusty pipes...dark corridors...
so we went thru security since the underground idea sucks...and jus went up with some resident...and tried to locate the flat of his friend...got some info and found it was level 12...but the 2 flats on level 12 were nothing close to his friend's flat...1 was a chinese family while the other was some sort of an abandoned house...we tried to go in...but gate was locked...so we explored the staircase...damn staircase was as scary as the underground corridors...no lights...all darkness and we went up and down and finally reached the other side of level 12 by some way...and we found an open door/gate to an apartment...we went in...no people...some lights on...almost everything was gone...and we realized it's the flat we were unable to get in previously...finding nothing there...we went back down to level 1...the whole building gave me the creeps...
nickt called some friends to get info about his friend's flat and we went for lunch...damn cai png auntie gave me AP...i'm gonna pwn u in customer service next time...better remember me...after lunch went to LAN while waiting for his informants...
LAN for 1 to 2 hrs and new information was received...went back and realized we entered the wrong lift...found the flat and went in...his friend's younger brother was in and we started on the topic about the loan nickt's supposed to get back from his friend which he can then pay me back the money i lent him in turn...no money no result...we were asked to go down and wait after 30min...said the father's coming home...and did not want him to find out...
went downstairs and camped outside the building like some ah long runners waiting for his father's car to pass by...so we can go straight to his father and claim the money...but we waited and waited...nothing...and we saw patrick...who happens to be my friend from CLT course and nickt's ex-classmate who first introduced him to warcraft3...weird huh...all were stunned to find out we all know each other...chatted awhile while nickt negotiated on the phone...i asked nickt..."what am i doing here when i am supposed to be sleeping my day away happily?"and he told me..."all in a day's work luc...all in a day's work..."that's how the title came about and how my status as a good student got degraded to a runner for that day...
finally spotted the father's car and we went up back again...there were guests so we camped at the staircase...went in once the guests left...the father was a shrewd business man...abused every loophole in nickt's statement...and told me in a fierce tone "witness" 4 times as i was a witness to nickt saying the wrong stuff...he called nickt's friend and shouted and scolded him over the phone...refused to pay up the entire amount...unless nickt finds the bank statements to prove the validity of the transactions...so we left with only a part of the sum...both of us being sad...as we were unable to get back all our money...and now nickt has to go get the bank statements which are troublesome...taking 1 week to process and almost a $100 fee to the bank...the man so rich still want us to go thru so much trouble when his son is the 1 owing $...still tell us..."i owe property in india...i only use cash...i never use credit cards..."why not jus pay up when his son has already confirmed the loan?troublesome fella...being in an office...printing of IC...really like ah long...wtf...
whole thing started from 11 all the way till 5+...and we proceeded to SG Pools...and then to taka to get a cake for nickt's friend...he dont mind splurging $200 on a china female friend but he wun treat $5 on a brother who braved dangers with him being some ah long runner...
after that screwed up day...of chasing people for money and failing...today...i went to the zoo with some of my classmates...wasnt supposed to appear...but well...due to circumstances...they could do with a sub = me...met them at amk...old man was part of the organizing commitee...but the ah sad said he was SICK...nice try...who would be stupid enough to believe him?1 was though...lol...
reached the zoo and walked around...went cheers for a look...WTF...$2 for ice mountain and $2.90 for other bottled drinks...ice mountain is only 30 cents at ntuc...anyway...1st part of the journey...the parrot...some BS was in charge and told us $5 to take photo with the parrot and u cant even touch the frigging parrot because they MIGHT bite?nice scam there...passed by the area for otters...yan bing was sure happy about meeting her relatives...face's comparable...height's comparable...i wun blame anyone for saying she's one of them...
saw the gosu white tigers...majestic animals they are...cool looking...smart looking as well...damn...why are tigers so gosu?i bet the people born in the year of the tiger are gosu as well...oh yah...there was a fat kid who said "i'm a tiger"...but yuyan and me both agreed he should have instead said "i'm the tiger's feed"...went on towards the elephants area...saw another black shop with those uber expensive items...no elephants due to them having to get ready for some show at a later time...
met the jaguars...at least the jaguar coming down to swim and giving us the close up feel justified our $15 entrance fee...finally some action...the previous animals we saw were all lazing around with no fighting...no moving around etc...saw some imba crocodile...now i really believe they were here on this earth 65 million years ago with the dinosaurs...bloody hell...they look so freaking big and monstrous the length of my room cant even accomodate them...and in that tank was some hundred year old turtle or what which was stoning...
passed thru the australian outback area...saw emus and kangaroos...walked to the aviary...to see birds...and we saw a blue bird amongst them...blue colour jiao...cool...even though the area was for birds...a mousedeer somehow made its way there from almost the entrance area i think...yuyan spotted a black money on top of the rooftop as well...rofl...black monkey being punished...
saw some jackasses as well...i mean jackass penguins...that was the name i saw...and at that spot...some fucking china men were there as well...they went over the barrier to take photos of the penguins...really fucking china men...noticed some sea lions and mantinee as well before the penguins...and finally we reached the polar bear area...sheba and inuka...29 yrs old and 17 yrs old respectively...the food they eat daily is...astonishing...waiting for them to go down into the water to swim...but no...we were not granted this simple wish...1 just paced up and down while the other came to the water's edge and went back again...3.5m ice cold pool for them...24 hr air con...free food...free lodging...VIPs at hotel?
next was the malayan sun bear...or rather the malayan sad bear...condition was worse compared to the polar bears'...only 1 bear there...lonely fella...also saw the normal stuff like horses...goats...rabbits...guinea pigs...pigs...donkeys...giraffes...rhinos...hippos... zebras...camels...ostriches...monkeys...
after which...it was finally time for us to leave the zoo...went past the parrot area again...the container of $ was gone...the BS must have taken it i bet...scammer...went to the souvenir shop or whatever...the plushies...20inch for $59...ripoff...proceeded to the area outside ben and jerry's where we filled in the things we were supposed to for 86's hard work...thanks for the trouble...but i bet u enjoyed being a ginna with the drawing block and stuff... ^^ but still thanks ya...i cancel the $2 u owe me from stepping on my foot...
went to ajisen at j8 for dinner...met the old man at amk 1st...he seemed to have recovered from the effective Medicated Cigarette Sticks...usual dinner with crap and more crap...sad yuyan was being traumatized...being constantly reminded of his dear wife at home...tam ah sad...he also tried to brag about his heroic deeds tt day about chasing some robber...this was what he did...
*touches robber on shoulder, teary-eyed and said' "dont leave"* and he proclaimed himself a hero...jokes...got laughed at by everyone...really tam...
old man happened to meet alvin at the "toilet"...came to ajisen as well and filled in the stuff 86 made for the class together with old man after we exit-ed ajisen...and finally...it was time to go home...1 of the few outings i actually made it to nowadays...
yan bing...as short as u are...at least u are smart enough to predict my future attendance for gatherings ya...so only need to ask me when necessary ok?lol...
